Soapmaking methods

Hot Soap and Rebatch

I am placing this lot of instructions on my site as new soapers come along and need to have instructions repeated. It is easier to have the instructions somewhere accessible and it saves time and work for everyone.
These are my methods and they work just fine.
These methods have the advantage of allowing large batches to be done that you can't get in the crock pot or microwave.
I regularly do 8 kg in my double-boiler pots and I can't do that in a crock pot! However.... any amount from around a kilo up is fine in the double boiler or oven. What ever works for you.
Also, there is not the work involved in these methods as there is in direct heat methods or microwave where you need to stand by for stirring.

All these methods were developed as a result of other peoples ideas and concepts.
No soap making is solely one persons idea. We all nourish and support each other.
I think it is critical that we continue to do this, acknowledge it and learn from each other.
